City issues standards for
attached houses in existing urban areas
The HCM City Peoples Committee issued Decision 135/2007/QD-UBND
on the architectural criteria of attached houses in existing urban areas in the
city, replacing documents 3665/UB-QLDT dated September 27, 1997 and
2542/CV-UB-QLDT dated July 2, 1999.
Accordingly, the construction or upgrade of attached houses in
these areas must be harmonious with the design and the standard heights of the
streets or the entire area.
This regulation is applicable for land lots with minimum area of
36 square meters, and height and a width of 3 meters.
If a street-front land lot has an area of less than 15
square meters and a width of under 3 m, its owners could repair in line with the
current situation, not build a new one.
For land lots of 15-36 square meters and width and height of
over 3 m, its owners can repair or build two stories but not exceeding 13.4
