Beautiful pagoda in District 12

Located on National Highway 22 in HCM Citys District 12, the Vinh Phuoc Pagoda has a total area of 1,5 hectares and unique architecture. Its dark red tile roofs emerge among the green areca trees and can be seen from the An Suong Intersection. The roofs bending heads were carved with images of flying dragons and phoenixes.

It was built in 1975 and restored 10 years later and in 1994 became the biggest pagoda in the suburban district. Inside the large campus is a hexagon-shaped tower containing a big statue of the Goddess of Mercy. Next is another tower with a nearly 2-meter high statue of the Buddha, covered by arena trees, ornamental plants and flowers.

Deep inside the campus is a 5-meter high tower containing the remains of monks and nuns. On the right side is a path made of grey square stones and decorated by grass bushes, making the pagoda quite beautiful.

The large saunctuary is designed simply and solemnly with six big stone pillars, creating a solemn and peaceful feeling for visitors.

The pagoda attracts a lot of buddhists and visitors every year.
