Location: Quang Hung Commune, Thanh Hoa City

Nghi Son Industrial Park

A nucleus for the Nghi Son new town of Thanh Hoa Province which is approved by the  Prime Minister in Decision 604/QD-TTg dated May 17, 2001 

Area: 1,280ha

Location: Tinh Gia District, Thanh Hoa Province

� Characteristics

- Distance to economic and communication centers in the region:

+ 63km southeast of Thanh Hoa City

+ 80km north of Vinh City

+ 190km from Hanoi and Noi Bai International Airport

- Development planning:

+ Industrial land with 870ha, including 400ha for the petrochemical industry

+ Specialized ports with 410ha for industrial production, fishing port, and general port

+ The western part of Nghi Son Island with 270ha for developing services for the industrial park

- Existing infrastructure:

+ A relatively perfect road system

+ Power supply: from the national power grid

+ Water supply: from the underground water source with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters per day and from Yen My Lake and Song Muc Lake with large reserves

Location: Tho Xuan District, Lam Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province

- Distance to economic and communication centers in the region:

+ 40km from Thanh Hoa City

+ Beside National Highway 1A and Ho Chi Minh Trail

+ Near Sao Vang Airport

- Current status: planning is being surveyed

- Targeted industries: paper, paper pulp, carton packages; construction materials; cane sugar and by-products such as liquor, alcohol, confectionery; forestry product processing; transport means repairing

 

Bim Son-Thach Thanh Industrial Park

Included in the 1996-2010 socio-economic development masterplan of Thanh Hoa Province which is approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 879/QD-TTg dated November 23, 1996

Area: 350ha (section 1: 200ha, section 2: 150ha)

Location: Bim Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province

� Characteristics

- Distance to economic and communication centers in the region:

+ Near National Highway 1A, the trans-Vietnam railway and Provincial Road 7

+ Buoi river way

- Current status: planning is being surveyed

- Targeted industries: construction materials (cement, ready-made concrete); cane sugar; animal feed; agro-forestry and food processing
