A host of entertainment and promotional programs are being organized in HCMC for Vietnam Teachers� Day, November 20. In celebration of your favorite teachers, past and present, check out one of these events:


Binh Quoi Tourism Village, 1147 Binh Quoi Street, Binh Thanh District, offers the Khan Hoang Nam Bo buffet with more than 70 typical southern dishes from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Price: VND89,000 for adults and VND55,000 for children. Buy 10 tickets, get one free.


Dong Khanh Hotel, 2 Tran Hung Dao B Street, District 5, will put on a Teacher Appreciation program from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Admission is VND89,000 for adults and VND50,000 for kids.


The hotel�s Dong Khanh Restaurant will also be serving a Hong Kong-style dim sum buffet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily until November 30. Price: VND45,000 for adults and VND30,000 for children.


Rex Hotel, 141 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1, will offer a hotpot buffet at the Vuon Thuong Uyen from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The program will include a game show with raffles and live music. Price: VND150,000 for adults and VND90,000 for children, including free beer or soft drinks.


Gio Noi Restaurant, 265 Pham Ngu Lao Street, District 1, will offer a grill buffet with over 30 dishes from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is VND118,000 for adults and VND68,000 for kids, which includes one free glass of wine, mineral water or soft drink.


Cesar Restaurant, 177-179 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1, will offer the �Loi Tri An� (gratefulness) program with an a la carte menu that includes several dishes prepared from ostrich meat and pearl oysters. Teachers and students will receive a 10% discount on their meal (for groups of six or more).


Champagne Restaurant, 129 Ham Nghi Boulevard, District 1, will offer an a la carte menu from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday with highlights including Hong Kong-style hotpot, grilled ostrich and mo fish hotpot, including one free glass of wine. Que Huong Restaurant, 167 Hai Ba Trung Street, District 1, will offer a buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Price: VND59,000 for adults and VND39,000 for children.


The restaurant will feature a buffet with more than 35 dishes from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Prices: VND159,000 (adults) and VND99,000 (children). Traditonal live music will be available from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Groups of four will get one free breakfast buffet voucher.

 

Port Orient Restaurant on the ground floor of the Caravelle Hotel, 19 Lam Son Square, District 1, will have a buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. The menu includes different main courses prepared from fresh seafood, beef and lamb, as well as a wide selection of desserts. Prices: US$25 for adults and US$12.50 for children, plus free wine, brandy, beer, soft drinks and coffee.
